“Did you know wonder can lower stress levels, expand time, and create a greater sense of life satisfaction?” the hummingbird asks.

It actually feels warm in your hand and you could swear there is now a tiny feather protruding out of the wood.

Here are several ways to incorporate wonder into your life,” the hummingbird offers:

Slow down: This enables you to stop and see there are other possibilities available. What are your favorite ways to reconnect with yourself and become present?

Get curious: Become eager to learn more and find ways to open your scope of knowledge. What can you learn from this? What do you want now?

Change the lens with which you see life: The way you see each experience in your life is a choice. Imagine you are wearing glasses, only the lens is an energy with which you view life. What kind of lens do you wear most of the time? Does it magnify the negative? Search out what’s wrong? Or does it see the beauty of what’s in front of you? Or notice the small amazingly inspiring happenings all around you, all the time? Put on a different lens and choose a different perspective.

Ask Wonder Questions - an instant shift into wonder:

When you find yourself in a stressful or negative space, choose wonder over blame, judgement or complaints. An easy way to shift into wonder is to ask wonder questions:

Wonder:

  • How can I see all the positives of this experience?

    • What are five good things that have happened because of this experience?

  • How can I use my creativity to enliven my life right now?

  • How is this pandemic helping me let go of what I thought I needed and align with what is really satisfying?

    • What do I want to change going forward?

  • How can I use this as an opportunity to care for myself in a loving way?

  • What lens do I want to put on now that will help me see this in a better light?

    • How can I look at this through a funny lens? A growth lens? An inspiring lens? An appreciation or gratitude lens?

  • What is something I have always wanted to do that I can now do because of this experience? (Do it!)

  • How can I help others who are in need?

  • What can I do each day to make my experience easier, more fulfilling and (way) more fun?

  • What is my most alive and awake choice in this moment?

  • How can I give myself alone time to recharge myself and give my relationship space?

  • How can I make friends with the unknown?

Make up some of your own:
